Urology is the speciality that covers diseases of the urinary tract (kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, urethra) and male reproductive organs (penis, testicles, fertility).

- Haematuria (blood in urine) investigations
- Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) – bladder outflow obstruction from enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, bladder pain syndrome
- Advanced prostate treatments: TURis, Greenlight vapourisation of prostate and open Millin’s prostatectomy
- Circumcision for tight foreskin (Phimosis)

Current service arrangements
Our emergency urology service is provided at Scunthorpe hospital. We also provide inpatient care, day case procedures and outpatient appointments at all three hospitals. Urology services are due to be reviewed under the Humber Acute Services Review.
