Our Cardio-Respiratory Department performs specialist heart and lung tests for patients.
The results we provide give concise and targeted information which doctors and other health practitioners can then use to manage a patient’s condition.
We have departments at our Scunthorpe and Grimsby hospitals which provide a wide variety of services to inpatients, outpatients and GP open access referrals.
Most of our patients are adults, but we are able to provide a limited service to children.
The types of non-invasive testing we provide includes:
- ECGs
- Spirometry
- Exercise stress testing
- 24 hour ECG and BP monitoring
- Incident recordings
- Echocardiography
- Basic and full respiratory functions
- Six minute walking tests
- Pacemaker checks.
Our physiologists are also part of the multidisciplinary team that carries out monitoring during coronary angiography.
