Fancy a chance for your photo to be displayed in our hospitals? Then why not enter our photography competition and raise money for our A&E appeal.
We are looking for photographers, young and old, to send us pictures of recognisable, local landmarks across our region. The winning entries will be displayed in our new A&E departments and elsewhere throughout Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole hospitals.
You don’t need to have experience or a fancy camera! The competition is open to anyone in the North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and Goole area. The landmarks need to be well known but feel free to get creative!
Our A&E appeal is raising funds which will go towards fantastic facilities like:
- Mobile gaming units and interactive floors to help keep our younger patients amused while they’re waiting to be seen
- FREE mobile phone charging facilities to keep you entertained and in touch with your loved ones
- Sky Inside artificial skylight panels to help provide a more pleasant focal point for patients in our paediatric and resuscitation cubicles
- Screens which can be used as TVs and digital information screens.
The cost of installing all this in the new A&Es we’re building in Grimsby and Scunthorpe is £35,000 per site and it’s all been picked out by our staff based on what they see in our A&Es every day.
Clare Woodard, charity manager, said: “We really want people to get behind our competition, which will raise funds for some fantastic new additions to our A&Es. I can’t wait to see your photos!”
We are also contacting schools to encourage children to create some fantastic artwork for our hospitals too.
All we ask is for every photo submitted to the competition, a suggested donation of £5 is made on our JustGiving page and please ensure there are no people in any of your pictures.
You can email your pictures to [email protected]. The closing date is March 31 and the lucky winners will be chosen by a panel of judges. As well as your picture being displayed in the hospital, you will also have your name below it.
