We’ve welcomed two new members to our Trust Board.
Simon Parkes joins us as a new Non-Executive Director (NED) and Fiona Osborne has been appointed as an Associate NED.
NEDs are responsible for ensuring the Trust Board acts in the best interest of the public and patients. They act as a critical friend and hold the board to account.
Simon is Chairman of our Audit, Risk and Governance Committee.
He brings with him extensive experience as a chief financial officer with over 13 years at Board level in the Civil Service, higher education and third sectors.
In addition to his new role with the Trust he continues as Deputy Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer for the University of Lincoln.
He is also a Non-Executive Director at a Registered Provider of Social Housing and also a Lay Canon and Chair of the Finance Committee at Lincoln Cathedral. He has been appointed on a three year tenure.
Fiona has wide-ranging experience in the finance world across numerous sectors including retail, leisure, publishing, heavy engineering, pharmacy and education.
A Chartered Management Accountant and a Professional Member of the Chartered Institute for IT, she has her own Business and Project Consultancy which has seen her lead multiple transformation projects for organisations within the public, private and not for profit sectors. Fiona has been appointed on a 1 year tenure.
Linda Jackson, Acting Chair for the Trust, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Simon and Fiona to the Trust.
Their appointments will bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the board with wide ranging experience from across public and private sectors. This will further strengthen our top team as we continue to build high quality and sustainable services for our local communities.”
Both Simon and Fiona have strong links to Lincolnshire and are keen to support improvements at the Trust.
